I don't know when it came out, last year maybe? I had it on my computer for a while but just remembered it there and watched it this morning.
I liked it. Not as entertaining and flashy as fancy shmancy movies like Religulous, but it was still a good watch.

Is "fancy shmancy" some sort of cinematic technical term?

lol. yes, all the latest reviewers are using it.

I haven't seen the movie but the idea for it is not new. It was written about in Timothy Freke and Peter Gandy's book The Jesus Mysteries which preceded Tom Harpur's The Pagan Christ. Both are excellent books which claim that Jesus Christ was not a historical person but rather the product of myth making.

This was good. It is definitely only one piece to the puzzle though. I saw a documentary with a Cambridge professor who questions links between Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, and many other religious deities. It was really good as well. If I find the link, I'll be sure to post it.
