Where did everybody go? OK, another hint. When Nevada became a state, in 1864, the biggest city in the territory was Virginia City. You know about Virginia City, right? Mark Twain wrote for the newspaper there for a couple of years. The city was there for just one reason and became a ghost-town tourist attraction not long afterward. So...? |
