This one may require a search. Let's give it 48 hours and then open it t Googlers.

Still no takers on the other quote, about learning from experience, huh? OK, here's another quote from the same source: "The great issues of the day will be decided not by policy speeches and resolutions, but by blood and iron."

What a great expression. The eloquence is Churchill, but I would by lying if I told you I had heard it before now. So, Alex, I'll play the option that you are maintaining your penchance for keeping herrings alive, at least untill good and red, and take Bismark for $300.

Meanwhile, here is one you would be hard pressed to google an answer to. The category is STATES. The answer is "Type of a Mortgage fraud where the value of the land is artificially inflated by a series of phony trades."

On yours, I, in turn, I vagule remember but am not sure, so I will guess: what is a Florida land scheme?

What's a Louisiana land swindle?

Are we going to head state by state till you hit the pinata??

Sounds like a plan to me. It shouldn't take that many more tries, as there are only about ten states I'd consider serious candidates. I've heard a lot about land swindles in Florida and Louisiana, though -- now I'll have to think a bit more.

This type of scheme seems fairly common now. The question is where it happened on a large scale early enough that the state's name got associated with it. Next guess: what is Texas?
