Sounds like a plan to me. It shouldn't take that many more tries, as there are only about ten states I'd consider serious candidates. I've heard a lot about land swindles in Florida and Louisiana, though -- now I'll have to think a bit more. |

This type of scheme seems fairly common now. The question is where it happened on a large scale early enough that the state's name got associated with it. Next guess: what is Texas? |
