My name is Adam :). I am interested in psychology, existentialism, health psychology, and psychotherapy theory. I am also interested in world history and spend way too many hours on Wikipedia reading about any historical articles. More mundanely, I enjoy cooking, working out/running, basketball, playing the bass guitar, and men's clothing. I am also interested in arts (such as painting, sculpture, pottery) and hoping to explore this aspect of life after so many years of scholarly endeavors in psychology and philosophy. I also enjoy playing the bass and hope to get involved with some jazz and rock musicians again!
I also enjoy videogames, cinema, and music. In particular, I enjoy more folky/Americana indie rock, complex thoughtful metal, and modern jazz. I have not played videogames consistently from the time i started graduate school so it would be nice to play some casually with a date even if they have no experience with them! Trust me, they can be fun! I love to discuss films afterward with a drink or some tea/coffee as well!

Hi! My name is Adam. I am a Ph.D. student and doctoral candidate in clinical psychology at a Detroit university. I am interested in psychotherapy with adults and adolescents and in particular enjoy working with adolescents and young adults especially concerning identity formation and resolution. I also have interests in health psychology, specifically working with people coping with chronic illnesses.
Beyond psychology, I am interested in many "geeky" hobbies. I enjoy videogames, reading novels of all types (literature to fantasy to sci-fi) and cooking (I enjoy learning new recipes but also enjoy just creating new things!). I also enjoy men's clothing, specifically suits, sportcoats, and other such sartorial interests. This is a new hobby as I found I enjoyed dressing professionally for work. I guess you could say I am a sartorial nerd, that sounds about right :).
I have a very close knit family and I am very thankful for their support. I personally enjoy individuals who enjoy being treated well, with affection, care, and authenticity.
I went to Michigan State for undergrad and I certainly miss the collegiate academic atmosphere. I am hoping to find a woman I can share intellect, feelings, and affection with .I have grown alot as a person in the last few years and I am ready to give a serious relationship a shot!
Intellectually, I am interested in existentialism and humanistic psychology. I am not entirely empirically driven in both my profesional life and academic pursuits and I have some issues with empiricism and the science of psychology. I feel knowledge and perception is subjective and prefer to discover my own path through life and academia.

Sharing a drink or meal and talking about what comes to mind and seeing if there is good verbal chemistry. I believe walking and talking can be good as well, so taking a walk somewhere would be wonderful. I think a second date is when you can do something more physical and active (i.e. going to an event, a fun physical activity, or walking around a downtown area).
