My Profile
I'm curious about life in general. I love to learn new things and have lively conversation about world issues, the environment, history, etc. I love spending time with my two grown children, my yellow lab, and my friends around the world. I enjoy giving back through volunteering, time at the family cottage and of course, reading! I love my job as a global learning designer and consider myself lucky all around. I love cooking and experimenting with new menus to please the ones I love. I love movies and live theatre and won't turn down an invitation to a nice dinner and conversation in a restaurant. Working out is very important and I enjoy working my body at least 3 times a week. Are you interested in doing any of these things with me? Everyting is more fun with someone to share it with!!!

What am I looking for in a man? First and foremost - he must be smart which is why I'm here. If you think LOL is conversation - you're probably not for me. A dry humour would be great - the drier the better. Someone who's independent and curious. And honesty is essential. My biggest issue with online dating is how much people lie about themselves.

After that - it's all about the chemistry to see where that takes us.

I'm a divorced woman, aged 49 - soon to be 50! Although I have a full and satisfying level on many levels, I'd still like the companionship and good company of an intelligent man. Although I enjoy the serious side of relationships, I also like just having fun. Enjoying a walk with my dog, sharing a meal and a glass of wine in front of the fire, a theatre and wine-tasting weekend at Niagara-on-the-Lake, etc. I'm bored of dating and really hoping to meet someone like-minded who is looking for someone like me!

I love reading about English history - particularly the Tudor period. Also novels about survival in England during WWII. I also like biographies and cookbooks. I enjoy reading classics like Wuthering Heights or Austin books. Probably my favourite book of all time is We the Living by Ayn Rand which I've read countless times. The power of the human spirit to fight for life and love is very powerful.

What's your Myers-Briggs type? I'm an ENFP. My work friends call me a corporate hippie!

Easy and no stress. Good conversation...a spark that we both want to pursue.

I do the Sudoko puzzle in the paper every day. I love word and mental games with a willing playmate.

I love movies that are ambiguous and make you think. Anything that's well written is also good. I loved Closer, Juno, Slumdog Millionnaire. I also enjoyed Julie/Julia as I'm writing a book so I found it quite inspiring. Music-wise I have quite an eclectic collection on my iPod. Everything from Pink Floyd to Annie Lennox to the Beatles to U2 and much more.
