I enjoy gardening. On the hobby side, I used to participate in SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) activities, and now concentrate in various fiber and beading crafts.

Intelligent, practical, passionate and funny as all get out!

47 SWF, full-sized lady. Love meeting people that like discussing relevant events, new discoveries, the latest gadgets, the importance of chocolate and tea as the basic blocks of life, and don't mind the jokes and one-liners that may head their way. A homebody but willing to enjoy nature is always good. Pets are welcome, but not if they have more than four legs...
I'm known for being generous, warm, funny, well balanced, reasonable and realistic. I'd add "foodie", passionate and incredibly loyal to that. Not bad, eh?

Robert J. Sawyer (sci-fi), Richard Dawkins, Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Ian Rankin, Guy Gavriel Kay...

How do you see Canadian culture evolving in the face of our changing demographics?

An informal setting where we could chat at our leisure, without too much background noise, and where a good laugh or a passionate argument wouldn't raise eyebrows. Oh, and good food would be a bonus!

I'd like to learn to play "Go" and have my eyes set on a game of "Playing Gods - The Board Game". If it is funny, engaging and well designed, I'll give it a try.

Music is orchestrated by mood, but it can go from a very folksy bluegrass and even rockabilly, to cerebral electronica, passing through classic, jazz, rock and ballads. A big no on rap, hip-hop and whiny country music.
On the movies front, I prefer comedies, sci-fi without too much gore and/or testosterone and romantic comedies but, please, good acting and decent plot is a must.
