The curious cat died a happy cat...

I was drawn here, more or less, by curiosity. I'm intrigued by the prospect of having a dating site for brainy, curious people. Having said that, I'm not sure how to introduce myself other than to say that I'm immensely curious about most things; I live in and for ideas, and I wear my politics and principles, if not my heart, on my sleeve. I'm currently between an MA and PhD in English literature. I'm also located somewhere in between ennui and mind-blowing enthusiasm. I like and value complexity in everything but my relationships (there is such a thing as overdoing it), and if I'm looking, I'm really looking for someone who can share some good laughter and some good conversation with me.

Hermann Hesse, John Irving, Alice Munro, Phil Hall, J.D. Salinger (guess I'm a big fat phony), Umberto Eco, John Keats, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Michel Foucault, Shakespeare, Eliza Haywood, Craig Thompson, Art Spiegelman, Edgar Allan Poe, Michael Pollan, Jonathan Swift, T.S. Eliot, Nellie McClung...
