Writing & Reading: I'm a compulsive reader, too bad I'm not also a compulsive writer . Have a couple of writing projects in draft, published only once a short story. Open to collaborative projects in non-fiction with other writers. Usually, I read 1 book of fiction and 1 book on non-fiction, technical matters, more or less in parallel. Currently I'm reading a Alexandra Fuller's novel about Africa and a book about investing/trading on options. Languages: fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, rusty in French; would like to take Swahili if I decided to spend a few years back in Africa. Politically liberal, social-democrat. Classical music (80%), jazz, 60's rock too. Museums of Arts, favour the impressionists. Leaning towards budhism for a long time but was catholic in upbringing. Interested in physical conditioning (weights, jogging, hiking, kayaking and planning for paragliding currently. Interested in good cinema, good acting, good screenplays. Interested in learning more about financial trading online as a means to be freer to travel and earn a living from anywhere in the world. Interested in the tropical friendlier lifestyles and closer communion with the elements of nature.

"The boundless mind is a powerful aphrodisiac" (Anonymous).
I'm almost, but not quite, a Renaissance man ( unpretentious believe it or not! :).
I've strong moral and ethical values (when all is said and done that’s what really makes a difference)
I'm politically liberal. I'm intellectually inclined, I like classical music (and other types too, World, 60’s, jazz, blues…), yoga and other transcendental things.
Sense of humor? Yes! Of a wry kind perhaps…
I like peace and harmony. I like the outdoors. I'm comfortable with silence and solitude if it comes with growth. I'm honorable. I'm monogamous.
I'm generally not very good at small talk. I'm fairly practical, optimistic, with a healthy dose of skepticism here and there.
I can think and I can work with my hands as well. I wish I could be a good carpenter and play the violin. I have not given up on it yet.
I’ve been told I’m generous, compassionate, caring and understanding but I have my flaws (I’m a Taurus…).
I aspire to achieve equanimity and take it all in stride…
I work on my weaknesses everyday (kind of…), through awareness, meditation and concentration on my conduct, effort and purpose in life.
I'm perhaps a better person today than I was 20 or 30years ago. I'm ever so slowly , coming closer to an ultimate goal of self-actualization, so I like to think when and if I am not existentially lost…
And that's me, essentially, bare naked, so to speak.

The Meaning of Life?? Just kidding. I won't go there...
How about this one: how long did Methuselah supposedely live? Or: Is there always a spring in your step?

One that leaves the stereotypical concept of a date out of the equation. A spontaneous encounter of strangers becoming friends. A genuine meeting of blooming minds, souls and soma. Celebrate equally the flowering of the cactus and the rose.
Un-preconceived, no expectations, no comparisons. Natural. Loose. Nurturing with humor, warmth, beauty, the rhythms of Art indoors, outdoors, in motion or static, Goyas and Matissess, wind and water, sand and rocks, windsurfing or mindsurfing no matter, just celebrate for the sake of celebrating friendship, a special shape of love.
