My Profile
I play guitar, bass and ukulele and record music under the moniker "_11:34". It kind of sounds like kind of ukulele sing-song-y to indie punky-to-full-on-noise-rock. I have no tattoos or piercings and don't want any but I like them on other people. I volunteer every week to transport produce and bread and make a meal to feed the hungry. I love to cuddle, kiss, touch, etc. and talk about physics, especially quantum & solid state, music, the universe, and so on. I love learning new information and meeting interesting people. I exercise daily. I love to ride my bike around town and play ukulele in weird places. I don't have TV.

Universal love and screaming fuzz

I often incorrectly apply the postulates of quantum mechanics to macroscopic objects in an attempt to be artsy and poetic. I also am totally okay with being a big nerdatron. My friends would say I'm genuine, honest, quirky, intelligent and captivating.

Kurt Vonnegut, Buckminster Fuller, Chuck Palahniuk, James Joyce, J. K. Rowling, Frank Herbert... although I don't really read a lot of literature anymore; most of my reading now involves peer-reviewed journal articles in silicon nanowire and graphene theory and experiment.

What are the exact trends of the electronic structure of silicon nanowires with respect to base plane orientation, facet geometry, chemical passivation and strain? (If I can answer that concisely it would save me quite a bit of time in my graduate program. Wanna help me out?)

I like biking, listening to music, walking around, drinking, or just talking, so that's a good place to start. I collect records and 7"s and live near Empire plaza, but I also like to go exploring on undeveloped land, sit and soak in nature's beauty, go hiking, etc. I'm a nerd so naturally I like doing nerd stuff like getting lost in libraries and museums but I'm also very open-minded.

SO, that means I would recommend:

A bike ride to an undiscovered place in Albany, somewhere where I've never been.

(and/or)

Going shopping for food, cooking dinner/drinking with you and friends at somebody's house and listening to music or going to a party or something

(and/or)

Going to some kind of event in Albany or a museum, a long walk in the evening or hanging out on my roof. The view from the roof of my apartment is utterly sick.

etc... bars are not conducive to talking as are movies, where you sit motionless and in silence for 2 hours. I like getting to know people I feel are worthwhile assets to my life. It really doesn't matter what we're doing.

I play this one party game called "Pictionary down the Lane" with my friends and that's probably my favorite game, hands down. It's freaking hilarious. If you're curious, ask me. Other than that, I will annihilate you in Dr. Mario. I haven't played them in a damn long time, but my favorite games in terms of total experience are Final Fantasy 7 and Tactics. Beer pong sucks. I hate it.

Movies: Wall-E, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Earth Girls are Easy, Hot Wet American Summer, From Dusk Till Dawn, etc.

Music: Fugazi, Wire, Big Black, The Minutemen, Minor Threat, The Evens, Erase Errata, Sonic Youth, Marnie Stern, Drive Like Jehu, Yah Mos Def, Antelope, Vertebrates, Yo La Tengo, Pattern Is Movemement, So Many Dynamos, and of course, _11:34
