Looking for a perfect balance of mind and body

I love to try and figure things out, though I don't think I'll come up with any 'answers' - just want someone who wants to figure it all out anyway - just because it's fun - and doing all those things couples are supposed to do... If it isn't a shared journey, I'm less and less interested in it these days. So, if you feel the same, let's see where it goes!

Plato, Joseph Campbell, Mortimer Adler, Thomas
Berger (Little Big Man), Martin Buber (I and Thou), Ray Oldenberg (Third Place), Jurgen Habermas, Herbert Marcuse, Raymond Chandler, Hunter Thompson, Conan Doyle, Christopher Lasch or Hitchens, Studs Turkel, John Keegan, Kurt Vonnegut, Carlos Castenada, Sylvia Plath, PG Wodehouse, Russell Kirk, Halberstam, Pierre Bourdieu, Braudel, Joe Weil (poet from Elizabeth, NJ), anybody writing for the New Yorker.

Is democracy working? Can we invent something that is both more realistic and still invigorating as an ideal? Who are we as a species? Latest research in neuroscience is fascinating - differences between the genders, our hard-wired sociability (mirror neurons).

Just talking over dinner, perhaps seeing a movie we both want to see, or share some music. Of course, if there is a mutual interest in something more exotic, what ho!

New Yorker captions for comics (at the end of the magazine).

Movies: Cyrano de Bergerac, To Have and To Have Not, Casablanca, Terminator, Thirteen Days, 1776, Monty Python and the Holy Grail/Life of Brian, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankestein, Night at the Opera;
TV: Doc Martin/House/Lie to Me/Sherlock Holmes (basically the same show), Law and Order, Black Adder, Monty Python, 30 Rock, BBC's "Shakespeare Retold" series, Charlie Rose
Music: Original Elvis Costello, Mozart, Beethoven, The Ramones, X, Muddy Waters, Jimmy Reed, Joshua Redmond, Miles Davis, Bonnie Raitt, 60's jazz, 70's funk/fusion, 80's party music; also Lilly Allen and Lady Gaga are much appreciated.
