Here I am!
I have recently moved back to Athens after being way for almost a decade. I’ve immersed myself in studying as a full time student at UGA (Political Science/ Public Administration). I have lived in many different states around the country (MO, TN, DE, FL, CA,LA, IN, SC, and GA) , but I chose to come back to Georgia and Athens in particular, because it just feels right here. I look forward to getting reacquainted with this place and all of the changes that have transpired since I last lived here.
Me= complex and simple. Yes, a perplexing dichotomy, I know. Let me explain. I enjoy the simple things in life like laughter, great conversation, companionship of a friend, the way my dogs insist on laying on top of me when I am relaxing on the couch, I could go on about the simple things (maybe you should write me to find out more…). Complex in that I try to figure out and make sense of the senseless. It really keeps me up at night. Really. I have to take a prescription medicine to keep my mind from spinning all night long. Politics, science, religion, etc. I am analytical by nature and sometimes the irrational things get the best of me. But I am optimistic and hopeful about life!
I’m a bit of a nerd. Honestly, quite a big nerd. I love to learn. I love history (I’m minoring in history) so I read constantly and my tv is usually tuned to the History Channel or History International. When I am watching TV it is usually some kind of documentary. There are a few exceptions, though. I can watch almost any sporting event. I mean I’m a guy after all. I love the things that make me laugh like the author John Hodgman. I would like to find someone who enjoys sports and nerd-ing out with me!
I am a movie nut. I like indies and documentaries. Funny stuff and sad stuff. I will cry every time I watch certain films. That’s how I know something is great! That is art! When something can move you in that way, it’s amazing!
I am OCD. My home, car, workspace is always pretty organized. Even going out to eat I will arrange the things on the table to be more aesthetically pleasing. If that freaks you out, I’m sorry. I have been told it’s cute. That’s about the only way the OCD manifests itself.
Honesty is a huge deal to me. I believe that honesty is the foundation of all virtues. This is why I don't play games with anyone. I have no desire to do that to someone or to have it done to me! I have been divorced for six years. I am drama free and I would like someone that is the same. I know some people thrive on dramatic situations, but that’s not me. I am really quiet and laid back and seek the same.
The woman I am looking for is honest, humorous, sophisticated, emotionally mature, independent, motivated, smart, open minded, adventurous, compassionate, tenacious, confident, petite, slender, and willing to go after what she wants. I hope to hear from YOU!
