Hello, my name is Kathryn, I'm a junior in college, studying French and philosophy. I'm pretty much the unconventional, girl next door. I am very passionate about life, and will try almost anything once; I say almost because there are somethings that I just will not do, like watch fox news. I was brought up in a very politically charged family, and am quite possibly, more liberal than my father.
I believe that honesty is the best policy and that chocolate and a laugh is the cure to a bad day. I also believe that any type of relationship requires mutual respect. I greatly appreciate drama free people.
I'm looking for provocative conversation, many good laughs, and a fun time.

Douglas Adams, Isaac Asimov, Jane Austin, The Bronte sisters, JK Rowling, Edith Wharton... there are many, many more that I can't recall at the moment.
I love short stories, essays on almost anything, folklore, and the classics.
I also enjoy reading history and biographies, about architecture (particularly Green), art history, philosophy, and about world religions.
For magazines I read the New Yorker, The Atlantic, Le Monde, and Le Courier International.

Where would you go if you had a flight voucher to anywhere in the world?

my ideal first date would be to go on a picnic either on the beach or at a park, with some kind of board game.
turn ons- laughing, interesting conversation, heat packed glances across the room, dancing, dressing well, and rainy days.
turn offs- poorly kept facial hair, cologne, and excessive PDA.

I love playing quelf, it's the silliest, most fun game I've ever played, I also enjoy the oldies like monopoly, scrabble, checkers, and I'm in the midst of learning chess. I'm horrible at video games, mostly because I have no thumb-eye coordination, but I do enjoy playing wii.

Anything by Mel Brooks and Tim Burton... oh no, I'll have to get back to this one, there are just too many!
