My interests: an artistic musical performance, intelligent conversation among people who don't take themselves too seriously, doing the right thing even if some don't agree, a well written sentence, a good laugh, always doing my best at work, and finding someone who's not perfect, but perfect for me.

Sophisticated Tastes, Down-to-earth Personality

I'm an empty-nester and pretty new to dating. I would love to find a great match, someone to grow old with, but for now just to talk, date, have some nice times with a man is a good way to start.
I am very friendly, down to earth, and have a great smile. I am interested in almost everything, and love to learn. I especially like learning about people; what they think and feel. I'm bright, but uncomplicated. I have sophistocated taste, especially in music, but I could also really, truly enjoy something as simple as a beautiful day. I am comfortable conversing with almost anyone, and I don't look down on people.
I have always been more of a thinker than an athlete, and more creative than active. Ankle surgery last year made a big improvement. So...I have some limitations, but taking a walk, swimming, or sailing could be nice. I still like holding onto your arm when I step off the curb....
I am nurturing, but I also like to be taken care of. I am looking for someone who is interesting and fun to talk to, tender, attentive, and who can be a supportive companion. I appreciate a man who can show affection, and communicate what is on his mind. Please contact me!

Have to admit....I usually see the movie version, but in my defense it is because I don't have much time, and I often fall asleep if I try to read! Besides, I have enough trouble just keeping up with the mail! I promise to make some time for reading this summer.

Do you mean what you say, and say what you mean?

A wonderful meal, easy conversation, smiles and warm laughs, eye contact, some quiet moments, attraction, a walk, touching, a soft goodnight kiss or two or three.....

clever conversation

MUSIC: Live is best. Once I sat outside in the pouring rain at Tanglewood, with several hundred other people silently listening to Yo Yo Ma and Emmanuel Ax play Beethoven cello sonatas. Hardly noticed the rain. Stunning experience.
MOVIES: Something's Gotta Give, Good Will Hunting, Shakespeare in Love, Little Miss Sunshine, The Godfather, Runaway Jury, Steel Magnolias, Bridget Jones' Diary, Witness, As Good as it Gets
TV: Daily Show and Colbert Report are favorites.
Radio: NPR, Prairie Home companion, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me
