You are a guy with smarts, humility, and compassion. You see the mess we're in, but are determined to live your life anyway. We agree on a few things: we have each filled the holes in our souls and don't need another person to do it for us; we don't take the academy (if that's where you're at) too seriously; and we don't see our partners as competitors. You want to enjoy and respect me. You're not hung up. You take care of yourself on the inside and on the outside. Sorry, but can't handle physically sloppy people. You don't have to have a six pack. *I* don't have a six pack. But I bike, swim, practice yoga, walk a bunch, and believe that what I put into my body will determine the state of my health. I try to think in a way that will contribute to good health. You have figured a few things out. Life has taught you and you've learned.

Re the French. I took French and Latin in college. Took two courses last academic year and am signed up for more this coming academic year. Traveling to Brittainy and Paris in summer 2010. In sum, the French is a work in progress for one of my research projects. I started the French for fun.
