Hi. I am a divorced mother of two daughters, age 10 and 14. Although I have a J.D., I decided after I got divorced that I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up - and I was 39 at the time! Better late than never, I figure.

I have eclectic interests - I love to read, cook, play the piano, sing, and spend time with my kids and my pets (a dog and a cat). I am an extrovert, and I love to talk to people and make new friends. I enjoy spending time at the beach, going to concerts, going out to eat, and running.

I read anything and everything. Some of my favorite books are "The Shell Seekers" by Rosamunde Pilcher, "Eat Pray Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert, "Their Eyes Were Watching God" by Zora Neale Huston, and "Schuyler's Monster" by Robert Rummel-Hudson. I love mysteries (P.D. James and Ruth Rendell are favorites), novels (anything from classics to chick lit), and some romance (Nora Roberts). I also read the "Washington Post" regularly to keep up with current events (and the comics!).
