I would never, never, EVER go skydiving, bungee jumping or anything of that ilk

Here's what I'm looking for: Someone with whom to watch film noir movies. You don't have to love your job but be satisfied with what you are doing. I like quirky guys who still have social skills. Someone who enjoys creating adventures around the city with me. Someone who is curious, enthusiastic and appreciates small moments. Autonomous, but looking for a potential relationship.
On to me. . . I'm an only child and I've been told it shows. I have a very self-deprecating sense of humor, but don't worry, I really like myself. My best platonic male friend said my greatest strengths are kindness, generosity of spirit and willingness to have fun in a group setting (even if it takes me outside my personal comfort zone). He also says I tend to overextend myself to help others and I will make myself crazy to make someone else's life less so. Friends have also pointed out I have this habit of making cute little voices when overly tired.
I have finally established an adult relationship with my parents. I stage manage a downtown comedy show weekly. I believe in the separation of church and state. I got a perfect 800 on the verbal section of the SATs, but doubt that it will ever matter again. People who hang out in front of doorways or staircases in the subway piss me off. Sean Connery has always been and will always be the best Bond.

I read Time Out New York religiously every week. The last book I read was The Earth Hums in B Flat by Mari Strachan.

Last week I: went for a 4-mile hike in Inwood, took out-of-towners to the Met and gave them a private tour, went to a cabaret show in a basement that was both extremely cliqueish and extremely gay, and translated IKEA instructions for a friend.
I handle internal communications for North America at a large Indian IT company.
