I specialize in reality. The kind no one wants to hear.
Pragmatism rules my life, but that's not always realistic, so I make lots of exceptions for things.
I work in SoHo, but hate the overdone-ness of Broadway. I prefer the side streets, mostly because you can walk down them. Also, that's where all the good stuff is.
I am definitely a geek, maybe even an alpha geek. Keep in mind, this is different from a nerd. Nerds don't know they're nerds. Geeks do, and are just a little bit ashamed, but dig what they're into enough that it doesn't matter.
For a while, I was total, complete failure. By which I mean I've learned things the best way: the hard way. The great thing about failure is that it shows you how to change, if you look closely enough.
Computers, math, and design etc. are all things that can be overrated really easily. Some people look at design or algorithms, and will say it's the most amazing thing they've ever seen, just because it's cool. I like to ask, "what's it doing for me? and who else's life has it changed?" In short, elegance can be really overrated.
I really don't like little kids, but I love it when they smile at me. It doesn't happen often.
I enjoy my privacy, and live by myself. I need to redecorate.
