I keep getting in trouble for talking politics in social situations, but I believe that it is our duty as Americans to discuss politics. Without the people's awareness and without public reasoned debate, democracy is doomed.
I enjoy philosophy as far as reasoning things out for ourselves. How can people have reasoned debates when they are unpracticed at reasoning? If someone wants to bring up something Kant, Nietzche, or whoever said, that's fine - but to me, parroting out stuff other people thought is not as useful as actually thinking for ourselves. I also enjoy the philosophies behind religions, spirituality, and other psycho-social arts, although I don't care to participate in rituals that don't make sense to me.
My interest in history, archeology, and technology is pretty much limited to reading and listening as I don't feel qualified to hold up my end of a discussion on these things. I am also far from an expert on plants, nature, and greening - but at least I have a little to contribute there.

I chose this screen name a long time ago because there was a lot that I wanted to be. I have transformed up and fallen down multiple times, but I'm back on the up slope. I no longer believe that I can be a lot or a little as we are all ultimately of unquantifiable value - however smart, dumb, rich, poor, wise or naive. I still find the name something of an inspiration, though.
