Where do we want to be in 5 years?

I play/work hard and have owned many successful businesses. I seek a minimalist existence living somewhere warm - perhaps on a boat someday. I'm a sailor who loves the ocean as well as adventuring by land. A total eclipse of the sun is truly astonishing to behold. Locating myself at these phenomenal events by land and by sea is supernaturally fun. Locating my "last first mate" for these and other adventures is why I'm here. She loves the ocean. Gliding along in a sailboat while watching a pod of porpoise splash and play at night in the warm Pacific in brightly luminous bluish-green water is an experience she would not want to miss - period. This phenomenon may be as rare as an eclipse on dry land! Bioluminescent creatures seem to put on a bright display only at certain times of year. Does "El Nino" bring a gift? For the pods of playful porpoise, it seems an opportune time to revel at night. Every wave, every swish of their tails and every "dance move" of these marvelous marine mammals is set aglow with tiny galaxies of glittering light visible several feet down in the clear waters. Even at 2 AM, dozens of porpoise are easily spotted under the boat, their glowing trails intertwining and swirling like so many wisps of colored smoke. Next time, we will hopefully be brave enough to join with them in the water, playing in this celebration of life! :)
We are transported. Yes, we are brave souls and we both want to learn how to sail around the world. All but the present moment fade. Many would say our standards are too high. I respond "If not now, when?" We seek the best in each other. Our mutual attraction draws us near. We seek that amazing individual who shares similar values and ideals. We love unconditionally. We are passionate apart, yet whole and complete as individuals. Together we have fire! Honesty is essential. Family is very important. Intelligence is greatly valued and admired. We share a deep desire for open spiritual expression and peaceful coexistence among all peoples. We are deeply moved by who we are as humans. Making a difference motivates our actions. We warmly embrace those who share our common interests and values. Perhaps most importantly, we are anticipatory.

Learning this about ourselves has been a great gift. I took the est training in 1976. This has had a continuing profound effect upon my life. I became skipper of Werner Erhards boat and was invited to sail with my eco heroes Bucky Fuller and John Denver. Sailing began as a hobby and grew to a full time profession. Thirty years later I am still sailing, commissioning and delivering boats .. though not full time. I studied Astronomy at Berkeley when the first Black Hole was detected. Recently I gazed at the Orion Nebula through our telescopes with my teenage son. I have traveled all over our beautiful spaceship earth as an eclipse chaser. I marvel at the Magellanic clouds. Our bodies remain even more mysterious and magical. Outdoor activities would fill many days. Board games, reading and cuddling by a fire are favorites on rainy days or nights.
Any exercise in adventure appeals to me. Sailboat cruising in the tropics excites me. I enjoy cooking. It can be a lot of fun together and I don't mind cleaning up. A rewarding glass of wine can sometimes help. I play a little guitar and cello .. but I don't mean the instruments are little. Having a non-sarcastic sense of humor is greatly appreciated. Live music is essential. Live theatre and an occasional symphony or ballet are thrilling. Having owned a new home and many luxuries are nice ... though not at all crucial to happiness. I seek a great personality, depth of character and a lightness of being. Fitness is essential and it would be nice if you love sailboat cruising and diving in warm waters.

Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not. Emerso
