Here I am!

I'm not an average man, but I am not a strange man. I grew up in an educated household, but I have used my intelligence in artistic creation and commerce, not study. Great vocabulary, lousy spelling. I am most passionate about being a good parent, & avoiding hypocrisy. Things that I am grateful for include:
My funny & smart little daughter (8yrs), and that I enjoy my work (herebebears).
We have a vegetarian/vegan diet most of the time unless I hunt a caribou. I don't take any pleasure in hunting, it's not a 'sport'...but don't like how factory farm meat ...

I'm looking for someone that I can converse with. I have found that common sense is not so common and intelligence is hard to come by.

I'm currently living and working in Thunder Bay but toy with the idea of moving back to UK (where I'm from originally).

I work in the criminal justice field, dispensing Get Out of Jail Free cards. Criminology-related topics are definitely my main interests (specifically, penology and justice policy) but other interests include architectural history, social history and psych.. As for what I consider fun, I'd say reading, listening to choral music, cooking and kayaking. I've only recently taken up the latter but absolutely love it.
